About Me…
Hi, I ‘m Sara…
For over 20 years, I dedicated my career to working with nonprofits tackling some of the most pressing issues in our communities, including child welfare, affordable housing, rural health, food insecurity, mental health, and addiction. Through frontline experiences, I witnessed firsthand the injustices both locally and nationally, as well as the challenges and dysfunction within the nonprofit sector. Instead of collaborative efforts, organizations often became isolated in their specific causes, competing for donor funds and resources. Throughout her career, she often encountered situations where discussing politics or divisive topics was discouraged to avoid upsetting donors, even when there was a direct correlation to the causes they were advocating for.
In 2015, amidst battling postpartum depression and personal tragedies, I was deeply affected by the Emanuel 9 shooting in Charleston. This was a wake-up call for me to begin unpack my own privilege and get involved. I knew the first step was working on myself. This led me to embark on a personal healing journey where I landed in the the wellness world. Despite finding solace in practices like yoga, I noticed a similar trend to my professional career, of individual-focused messages, with little discussion about collective well-being. I began to seek out spaces where collective conversations were embraced as part of the wellness practice, eventually led me to become a yoga teacher, women's circle facilitator, retreat leader, and ICF certified life coach.
Through individual and group coaching, I have worked with numerous women who are in the transformative, but liminal space, where they are no longer who they used to be, but are not yet sure who they are becoming, or unbecoming. I believe that collectively, we are in a similar transformative phase, where old systems are crumbling, and new ways of living are being reimagined. I have seen the power that can happen when we feel supported, seen, heard and valued during these transformational portals and have witnessed what happens when we navigate using our values, community connections and deep questioning while creating space to reimagine our personal lives and the world around us.
I believe that no matter where you are in life, if you love people and care about the injustices of the world, there will always be a place where your gifts are needed!

“I have known Sara for more than half of my life since meeting her in college. Doing a yoga retreat with her has been one of my goals for the past few years. The yoga, excursions and workshops were beyond what I had anticipated and the environment was exactly what I needed. I left feeling so full of life and love and brought some important "tools" home with me that will help de-stress and relax until I can return to another retreat. I'm so grateful to have had this experience with Sara and all the ladies that were there.”
